Crisis Publisher
Intrapoint's Crisis Publisher provides a complete publishing platform for an organization’s intranet, Internet, and extranet sites. It can be installed to serve the crisis management publishing requirements or to provide a publishing and content management migration platform for the company’s regular intranet, Internet, and extranet sites. When used for crisis management purposes, separate from regular inter- and intranets operations, Crisis Publisher can be fully integrated with Crisis Portal in order to benefit organizations that have already integrated crisis management systems into their daily operations. Crisis Publisher is module-based and flexible so that clients can select from a comprehensive library of nearly 40 modules. Crisis Publisher has been installed in more than 250 locations around the world.
Crisis Publisher accomplishes site design, news and information publishing through and powerful yet easy-to-use content editor. The module is extremely easy to master and is loaded with functions for formatting and adjusting text, images, appearance, and colors. In order to optimize user friendliness, the function buttons have been designed to correlate to Microsoft Office’s familiar nomenclature. The editor has workflow and version history and is well suited for developing and maintaining crisis management plans. The module contains most of the common the common formatting functions already used in PC-based word processing and publishing solutions. Additional capabilities include:
Image Library – The Image Library is a remarkably advanced yet extremely user-friendly tool for showing and archiving images that can be used to enhance site content. The Image Library has a special module for automatic conversion and scaling of larger images which just becomes a converted copy of the original image, document or file library.
Document and File Library – This tool allows documents to be made available for users download. All types of data files can be imported and saved in the File Library (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, video files or sound files). The File Library understands file formats and shows users which type of files are there. The File Library also has built in version control and workflow.
Link Library – The Link Library tool enables an organization to manage the critical collection of internal links necessary for managing crisis situations. The Link Library can be organized by theme, and can be administered by the author and publisher.
Activity Calendar – The Activity Calendar provides users with clear and well organized access to upcoming activities. As with the other functions in Crisis Manager, activities are also automatically moved to the library once the activity has passed, saving time and maintaining activity currency.
Print Friendly Pages – Crisis Publisher has its own function for print friendly versions of every page. This function appears as a link at the bottom of each page. In addition to showing a print friendly page, a command to print opens, providing the opportunity to select a printer to be used.
Search Function – Crisis Publisher contains a search box that can be placed wherever desired and is available on all pages. Detailed search capability is also found on many functions and will appear on certain pages (e.g., employee lists, services, debate forum). The Search Function is also presented where the information is found.
Debate Forum – Crisis Publisher contains a debate forum, which is an open forum for users of the solution to participate in open discussions. Responses are tied hierarchically to the original message with the option for users to be notified when someone has given a response.
Newsletter – The Newsletter module provides the ability to create and distribute newsletters and other relevant information to internal distribution lists. It is easy to import new distribution lists from, for example, MS Outlook. Newsletters are distributed by email and can be sent to selected users, lists, registered people, and the system administrators.
