Norske Shell is part of Shell, and is the operator of the largest ongoing natural gas project in Europe. Shell is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies. This oil and gas is delivered to 10 million customers daily through 45,000 shell service stations . Shell had a number 1 ranking by 1 Fortune 500 in 2009.
Requirement
The requirement was to deliver a world leading critical management solution to handle daily incidents and improve incident and emergency operational response for first, second and third line emergency response operations. The aim was to automate and increase efficiency of the emergency processes and deliver a world leading solution.
The value
The system would be a key enabler to deliver the required automation and optimized emergency processes. The result would be less human capital being needed, and processes that are less prone to error. This has both a human and financial benefit for the successful handling of incidents.
Solution
Intrapoint's Crisis Manger was selected as the solution for Shell Norway. Crisis Manager automated all Shells Norway’s emergency plans. Shell Norway now has a full log including notifications, actions, observations and logistic actions at any given time.
